TRISOMY 13

Renal Cortical Cysts

• Varying degrees of cortical cysts.
• Rarely nodular renal blastema.

Hyperlobulation

• Hyperlobulated external surface of the kidney.
  (Fetal lobulation is normal).
• May be associated with renal enlargement.

Dysplasia

• Maldevelopment of the cells and tissues (histological diagnosis).
• Dysplasia is usually cystic, varying between a multicystic appearance that distorts the renal configuration and a diffuse cystic pattern that resembles infantile polycystic disease.
